Blog Closing … PLEASE READ!!
March 11, 2007 — ibnabeeomarjust wanted to let everyone know i am pretty much closing down this blog. i will be involved in a couple of other projects and won’t have time to dedicate to this anymore. please take a couple of minutes for my parting notes.
first and foremost i ask your forgiveness if i have posted anything on here that has hurt anyone in anyway.
secondly, please check out a couple of new projects, namely,
muslimmatters.org - a group blog that will inshallah be very successful and features guest writers like yasir qadhi and tawfique chawdry. inshallah i will be posting whatever i would normally post on this blog on muslimmatters.
saheefah.org - will inshallah be an academic resource and reference point set up by a student who will inshallah be going to umm ul quraa.
aqeedah blog - i have linked to this before, but i think this is a really important project. according to the about page, there will be a full reference for everything regarding aqeedah (specifically tawheed) on this blog. i have sent my light upon light notes to be posted there as well inshallah.
lastly, i’d like to highlight a few important/popular posts that have been made on this blog before just for reference:
- Reviving abandoned sunnahs, and details on how to perform Istikharah
- Light upon Light notes
- Transcripts from Texas Dawah lectures
- Racial profiling of Muslims is a bad idea
- ISNA’s slaughtering of the Sunnah
- Success of the AlMaghrib model
- Napoleon from Tupac’s Outlawz converts to Islam
- Cute Kids reciting Quran
i might still post an occasional note on here from time to time as i know a lot of ppl may still be subscribed to this site via an RSS reader, but inshallah please do check out those 3 sites i mentioned and try to keep up with them as well.
if you have any comments or anything please feel free to post them on here.

As’Salaamu Alaikum wa’Rahmatullah….
(*tears*)
I don’t know how to say it…I don’t know if I even have the words…
it’s just that LotaEnterprises has come to mean so much to me…and now…it’s coming to an end. Oh the times we had…(*sigh*).
An era is truly passing us by…and as a result…we will no longer be the same.
I will no longer be the same.
What to do? OH! What to do?
How can we survive without our daily does of the LOTA?
Perhaps, we can just think of the warm memories that we once had. They can’t take the memories away from us…right Pa?
The hearts have become have sooooo attached to the LOTA. Alas, at least we can read on about the LOTA here:

“…our daily does of the LOTA?”
should be:
“daily dose”

Abu Ameeerah let’s have a moment of silence for the death of a “blog”. The blogger is male so the blog should be prayed over as a male. I think maybe we should just move on and see if they will come to our blogs still in the future!
Al-Fatihah….Durood Shareef…Allah Paak Pervardegaar-E-Alam!!!

For too long you guys have been relying on this crutch of a Lota, now you need to go and buy your own real Lota. It was bound to happen.
Lota bhai has moved to bigger and better issues to clean up
Sr. Salafiya, Lota bhai will continue putting his updates on the new blog, he ain’t going anywhere. We can’t let that kind of talent escape
Do update your links folks…
wasalam

salam,
I gotta say, I’ve always loved that name. I hope someone else from the enterprise steps us and carries over the lota brand. I hope and pray the lota never dies.
